Monday May 29, 2017
Start: 08:30
End: 17:00

Although not a wildlife group event as such, this circular walk around the parish boundary gives many opportunities to observe and record wildlife in areas which are not usually open to the public. And you will be walking through some lovely countryside.

There will be further details later but the main points are:

Sunday June 4, 2017
Start: 11:00
End: 15:30

UP-DATE: I think we will get showers and some may be heavy but we can always finish at lunch-time if we've had enough! There will be hot drinks and cake....

Saturday June 10, 2017
Start: 13:00
End: 16:00

Heath Fritillary butterfly

All are welcome to join in with this event organised by Cornwall Butterfly Conservation and led by Richard Vulliamy. Although the focus will be on the nationally scarce Heath Fritillary butterfly, there will be others and an interesting flora including many orchids and Bastard Balm.

Sunday June 11, 2017
Start: 20:30
End: 22:00

Another weather dependent event but we will know nearer the time and light drizzle shouldn't be a problem...

As well as moth trapping by Mary which was very successful last year, Tony would like to attempt a bat emergence count from one of the hanging bat roost boxes along the top ride. He is hoping to set up some infra-red lighting and a video camera which may prove that it is being used as a nursery roost.
