Start: 09:30
End: 16:00

The first of about five walks in our area, organised by Ian for the Botanical Cornwall Group but all are welcome and this walk will take in part of Lezant parish so maybe familiar ground for some.

If you are interested in wild flowers, this is an opportunity to learn and even the common species are important.

These locations are selected by Ian because the numbers of species are not quite what they should be and with a new county flora in mind, the group is trying to target these kinds of areas to ensure that as many species as possible are included.

Start: 10:30
End: 15:00

On behalf of the East Cornwall Mining History Association (ECMHA), after such a successful visit and survey in late spring last year, we have been invited back for a second visit.

It's a different time of year and so the emphasis changes to reflect the later season. Does anyone know of a bee expert who would join us?

Outline programme (may be subject to change) :

Thursday July 26, 2018
Start: 09:30
End: 16:00

Another botanical group walk, this time in the area around Tregeare which is to the north of Laneast down and east of Egloskerry. There are some remnants of downland left but access is mainly limited to footpaths and lanes. Away from the influence of the moors, the land is less acidic so expect some different plants. Great opportunity to learn more species.

As before, all are welcome but it helps to have an interest in plants and wild flowers. We do record other species if we can recognise them.
