The Tresmeer Parish Wildlife Group lies about 6 miles west of Launceston  and forms a close geographic relationship with the existing  St Clether and Altarnun Wildlife Groups. It is one of the latest parish groups to be added, late 2008 and became a very active group in 2009 Kensey valley, Tresmeerwhen it organised its first series of events within the parish.

An outline programme of events for the year in all parishes is shown as part of the Launceston Area Overview

The parish group is centred on the River Kensey, close to its source and includes Tregear, Bagdall and Egloskerry (until Egloskerry and Laneast form their own Parish Group). Apart from the Kensey Valley (Right), with its river and a disused railway, the group habitat includes the Ottery Valley and some nice Woodland at Tregear and some interesting Heathland at Tregear Down.
