Bluebells near Notter Tor

The Woodland Trust is asking us to map bluebells this spring! Bit of a daunting task because we are so well favoured in our area but we need to them on the map. mine is the only one between launceston and Liskeard at the moment so hopefully, that will soon change! By the time we've checked the dormouse box sites next week, there will be a lot more.

I've just gone through the process on the computer for the true English Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) up along our field hedgerow but sadly, despite trying to iradicate the Spanish Bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica) from the garden, they have diluted the bluebells in the adjacent wood; the colour is paler and we are beginning to see the odd pink or white one.

The mapping allows you to map both the English Bluebell and the Spanish or hybrids and gives a clear photograph and description with an additional option to use if you are still unsure.
