'Owl Sense' was the BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week in February and has been described by Robert MacFarlane as 'a beautiful book; wise and sharp-eared as its subject. it is a captivating study of some of our most charismatic & elusive birds.

The author, Miriam Darlington, will begin with the telling of her wild encounters & walks in the British Isles, then her journeys through Europe to identify every species of European owl from southern Spain to the Arctic circle.

Through her watching and deep listening, Miriam Darlington cleaves myth from reality and brings the strangenes and magnificence of these creatures to life.
