In the small car park near the old lead mines at Pentireglaze near New Polzeath. Map ref: SW940 799

A bit of a drive to get to this walk but it will be worth it especially if we can car share, 10:30am for an 11am start.

Gill plans to walk along the coastal path around Pentire Point towards North Polzeath beach, turning inland and up to West Pentire Farm and then back to the cars.

It is deemed 'moderate' going and about four miles in length. Stout walking boots are essential... drink/thermos and a packed lunch are advisable! And there may be cake...!

The views will be amazing and I hope that the sand or house martins will be collecting mud for nests from the wet clay deposits on the cliffs and we can look out for other summer migrants. And there are some different plants on the coast.

Although there's no need to book, if the weather forecast is bad, check with Gill or this website in case we have to cancel.

Equipment & Booking:
No need to book. Wear clothing to suit the conditions (it will be breezy) and walking boots. Packed lunch etc; binoculars, camera/phone, note book will be useful.
